Ostapenko has doubled Krejcikova for winners 8-4 and has also committed fewer unforced errors (8-12).

Ostapenko has won 68 per cent of her first-serve points compared to Krejcikova's measly 38 per cent.

French star Benoit Paire gave an emotional interview about what he's been through over the past 12 months.

It was a demolition job out on Rod Laver Arena earlier today as Azarenka blitzed Svitolina.

Victoria Azarenka spoke to Channel Nine on the court after her win...

Q: Victoria Azarenka congratulations. You're through to the fourth round we know you love playing here. This is your best result since 2016. That must feel amazing.
A: Yep. Actually about that, I was - I saw on Twitter like a couple of days ago somebody tweeted Victoria Azarenka got hasn't got here in six years and I was like I only played two years out of those six. Have I lost six first rounds in a row? That was pretty funny. I'm so happy to be here. I love to play in Australia and thank you guys for coming out so much.

Q: Now Elina made you work for that last game but really throughout the game you played fantastic tennis. What did you feel like you did well against a quality opponent here today?
A: I feel like I played tactically out here. She's a great competitor and player. I had to try and stay on top of her as much as possible and not let her breathe. That was my goal before the match and I feel like I executed that well.

Q: You're 32 years of age now. You've been around for a while now. I'm keen to know what motivates you. Is it being out on these courts that motivates you?
A: It's an excellent question. I want to give a shout out to Dylan Alcott. He's been an inspiration for a while. I'm so proud how much involvement there is for him in Australia. Those guys, the wheelchair tennis deserve so many recognition. I hope you guys come out and watch them. They are way better than us. That's my opinion. I want to give him a shout out. It's his last tournament. I can't wait to see what he does next. What a story. The resilience, the determination, he inspires me a lot.

Q: How is (son) Leo enjoying touring Australia and how are you feeling as well?
A: It's such a privilege. Not everybody has the opportunity to bring their kids to work. For my son to be inspired by what I do is priceless to me. I don't like to use the word role model. It comes with too much heavy expectations from people. I'm an example in his eyes and I do the best I can. I know people might come at me how bad an attitude I had at some point in life. I can only do better and my son helps me to be better and my son helps me with that.

Azarenka powers through to the fourth round in comprehensive fashion, dismantling No.15 seed Elina Svitolina 6-0, 6-2 in 67 minutes.

The Belarussian star won 13 points in a row at one stage during the second set, to make it to the round of 16 at Melbourne Park for the first time since 2016.

Svitolina did her best to stay alive in the final game, which included eight deuces, saving five match points and bringing up three break points, but she left it too late to show those fighting qualities, and eventually succumbed.

Svitolina almost tripled Azarenka for unforced errors (26-9), while Azarenka had the edge in winners (17-15).

Azarenka broke the 15th seed five times from just seven chances, and enjoyed sizeable advantages in both percentage of points won on first serve (76-60) and second serve (55-26).

Azarenka will face either Barbora Krejcikova or Jelena Ostapenko in the fourth round.

Azarenka has made a huge statement to start her third-round clash on Rod Laver Arena this morning.

The 2012-13 champion has steamrolled Svitolina 6-0 in the first set in just 25 minutes.

What a performance this has been so far from the 24th seed, who was more than doubled the Ukrainian for points won (25-10).

And while she has committed more unforced errors (4-1), Azarenka has doubled Svitolina for winners (6-3) on the way to breaking her three times.

Azarenka also has a perfect 100 per cent winning rate on her first serve compared to Svitolina's 57.

This is the 15th time in her Australian Open career that she's won a set 6-0.

Sam Stosur reflects on an incredible tennis career, which included a US Open title, after her last singles match at the Australian Open on Thursday.

So Nick Kyrgios lost in the second round of the Australian Open - fantastic. The man was destroying what's left of my summer, rendering men's tennis unwatchable after I clung on through decades of dour interchangeable eastern Europeans and Garry Wilkinson.

His sneering bully-boy humiliation tactics do my head in. I don't get why he's praised as a role model - yeah, this is who you want your kids to copy - a "showman" who entertains like nobody else.

But Kyrgios carrying on like a pork chop isn't even the real problem. It's his fans.

No.11 seed Jannick Sinner eased into the third round after dismissing America's Steve Johnson 6-2, 6-4, 6-3.

The Italian will take on Taro Daniel next after the Japanese qualifier eliminated Andy Murray in straight sets.
